The best short poem in English

Hi everyone, meet Lycidas, which, I have recently learned, is considered by many esteemed scholars to be “the most emotionally intense and intellectually powerful short poem in the English language.” (Who knew?)

It starts:

Yet once more, O ye Laurels, and once more
Ye Myrtles brown, with Ivy never-sear,
I com to pluck your Berries harsh and crude,
And with forc’t fingers rude,
Shatter your leaves before the mellowing year.
